The hotel is clean and location on the main street of Venice.
The breakfast was too simple and limited to coffee, juce and croasans. The hotel should offer a greater variaty of fruits and sausages.
the room was warm and had a great view of the streets. staff were frendly and breakfast was plentiful
We had a quadroom and it was neat and tidy and quite large. Really pleased with the service we received from the staff and well as the room accommodation. No lift available so we needed to bring our luggage up a stair case to get to reception. Quadroom was next door to reception to luckily did not have the carry the luggage up any more stairs.
It was close to everything and the staff was very nice.
The hotel is conveniently located about 5 minutes walk from the Santa Lucia rail terminal and a little more from the bus terminal. Only a few steps to negotiate to the train but one bridge with many steps to the bus. Not a problem pulling your own luggage to the bus unless you are frail. It is an easy 15-20 min walk to San Marco. The Water bus station is a couple of minutes away. There is an internet "cafe" down the lane opposite the hotel. The hotel staff were very pleasent and helpful with good English. Our room was spacious (we were given a triple) and well prepared, with LCD TV. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom had a small shower with no bath, but was larger than many we have had in Europe. We stayed in early September when it was hot and humid and the air conditioning worked well. Our room overlooked the main street but we heard little noise. Breakfast was simple Continental (juice, rolls, croisents, coffee/tea plus muesli) and served to us at the table.
The hotel has no lift so be ready to lug your cases up the stairs. The hotel's wifi internet is something like 4 euros for 1 hour and 9 euros for 4 hours (provided by some external company) so we did not use it. This sort of charge seems common in Venice, but it is strange that almost everywhere else in our 8-week tour around europe, even cheap hotels manage to provide free internet for customers.
Spagna Hotel is near Venezia Santa Lucia main station, just walking distance. Also near vaporetto / waterbus stop. The hotel is very clean, tidy, comfort, and friendly. When we must check out in the early morning, hotel staff already prepared our breakfast pack. So we can eat in the train. Thank you so much.
Very good staff. We have not many time to see Venice and the personal helped us. He explained how to do it if we have only 5 hours.
Perfect location two steps from the railway and vaporetto stations, so that whatever you wish in Venice and Veneto is easily reachable. It was quiet, despite the busy street, clean and comfortable. Excellent and very helpful staff creates very good friendly atmosphere. I remember this stay with real pleasure!
Very central location, quite cheap in Venice. Room ok, clean and enough space, also chair and a table. Bathroom good in this price category.
Quite simple brekfast but ok for me because eating in the morning is not the main purpose of my travel.
We had stayed here before 4 years ago & found it friendly & clean. we thought rooms were a good size which was why we booked again.Location made it great for site seeing. Staff were lovely & very helpful as last time. Overall a good basic hotel, near to train station.
Been here before & had really great rooms & thought this was the "norm". re size etc. We were 3 adults & expected a room to accomodate 3 adults. the room was barely large enough for 2 let alone 3 & luckily my daughter is quite small so was ok in the "camp bed" squashed into the room. If they did not have a room for 3 they should not have taken the booking. We were very disappointed. If I used this hotel in the future I would try to make sure before hand that the room was adequate for the number of people.
there is no bed for two people, only 2 beds standing together, although I asked for king size bed. we traveled with 4 years old daughter, she was sleeping with parents, so it was inconvinient to sleep.
The hotel location was good and very near the train station. The location was good for looking around and an easy walk to the main atractions. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help. Room was comfortable and large enough for a family of three including a 14 year old. The beds were fairly conformtable and the third bed was not squeeky or noisy as they can sometimes be.
The shower was quite small and not easy to turn around in for an average size person. The breakfast was limited but was included.
The location is fantastic for a visit to Venice, especially if you are travelling with luggage very close to the train station and no steps or bridges to negotiate on the way. The family room was large enough, the bathroom adequate - however it seemed a little dusty. Breakfast was nothing to write home about - with very little choice.
The lack of a lift is a serious problem if you have heavy luggage. Otherwise nothing to complain about.
This is a conveniently situated friendly hotel, my room was clean and air conditioned and I will be very happy to stay there again.
Close to the train station. Air conditioning adequate. Wifi available at a fee.
15 squashed bugs on the ceiling. Most were removed by housekeeping after complaining to desk staff in the morning. Wifi not free. No elevator in a 4 floor building.
